Shared Play, Shared Smiles: Aspire Shared Education in Action
We are delighted to share this video highlighting a joyful shared play session between pupils from St Michael’s Primary School and Donemana Primary School, delivered as part of the Aspire Shared Education Programme.
The session brought children together through fun, structured play, Debutots and Relax Kids, giving pupils the opportunity to learn with and from one another in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Laughter, teamwork and curiosity were at the heart of the day as friendships began to form across school communities.
Shared activities are powerful, helping children to build confidence, develop communication and cooperation skills, and grow in respect and understanding of others. By working and playing together, pupils experience diversity in a positive, meaningful way while discovering just how much they have in common.
Above all, the Aspire programme reminds us that learning can – and should – be enjoyable. The enthusiasm captured in this video reflects the real impact of shared education: happy children, strong connections and learning that lasts.
We are proud to be working together to create inclusive, engaging experiences for all our pupils.
